ABOUT US

THE HISTORY

Operation Rock The Troops concept took shape after 9/11 and launched in 2004 when the mission to tour for our US Troops took form. It was in 2006 that we finally signed with the Pentagon, Armed Forces Entertainment(AFE), and on-Base MWRs(Morale Welfare Recreation). We have to date completed 7 World Tours, to 15 Countries at over 40 military bases and 2 US Coast to Coast tours on military bases and Veteran Charity events equating to over 1,000 concerts/events through our JC AllStar Program. Our first mission on our tours was to hand out over 100,000 copies of a CD Compilation that featured over 36 Tracks of music from different signed and unsigned artists from Texas. This compilation helped us to host different concerts to bring our mission in front of people as well as prepare us for our overseas tours.

We landed our first overseas tour with the AFE in 2006. A 30 Day Pacific Tour, as we loaded up over 90 pieces of luggage including a full PA System, and went on 18 different flights, performing over 20 shows in that 30-day tour. We performed at military bases in Hawaii, Kwajalein Island, Roi Island, Guam, and all over Japan and South Korea.

2007 we followed up with a tour to Thule AFB in Greenland for their Day Light Celebration for everyone on base. This was an experience of a lifetime as we saw directly the power and reach of our military and the honor it truly was to be invited to perform at unique locations most people don’t even know exist let alone how they protect us at home.

In the fall of 2007, we were booked through the MWR at the Military Base in Kunsan, Korea, who asked for us to return for a follow-up show for a huge full base weekend celebration.

On our first tour experience, we realized that we were performing a week before the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, UFC Ring Girls and other Dance Teams would arrive and perform and we had the idea to combine those 2 elements for one unique show experience.

The AFE selected our new original program, The Runway Rock Show concept, created in Dallas, Texas, bringing us the nickname overseas on military bases as Bob Hope 2.0, as models joined our rock group on stage for a massive all-in-one performance. Other performance groups would stay on base for 10 days performing 1 show, we would fill up off nights with different activities with our AllStar team to do what it took to bring a little piece of home directly to the active-duty bases.

Our next tour in 2008 would take us to military bases in Italy, Spain, and Portugal including the Azores Islands with the first official appearance of our Runway Rock Show concept with a team of 17 people and over 100 pieces of luggage and music gear. We were ready to rock fashionably as it was noted on all posters across Europe.

We would return home to Dallas, Texas and perform at local charity events and other venues to continue spreading the awareness of the healing power of music always inviting veterans out to free concerts at our events and other music concerts. We would perform our Runway Rock Show back home in Dallas in efforts to raise money for veterans and other charities.

In 2010 and 2011 we would get the call for 2 of our biggest touring missions. We first brought the Runway Rock Show to military bases in Kosovo and Germany for a 20-day run. We then were asked right back to perform back in Turkey during the time of conflict with Libya and then traveled to Italy and Greece to perform for the men and women stationed there during that time of conflict.

This would start to include what becomes the birth of our idea of the songwriting healing camps as we hosted open mics, jam sessions and gave free music lessons in between our show dates. We would also do acoustic performances, make appearances on the AFN(Armed Forces Entertainment) and do meet and greets handing out free CDs and Merch at on-base BX locations.

We always had our cameras rolling since day 1 as one of our goals was to have the first healing program from a charity to be a Network Series. After 13 years and filming our mission including 6 World Tours our story was finally getting World Wide Recognition as it was distributed and launched worldwide on Amazon Prime, Comcast, Hulu, and other VOD platforms as a source of inspiration to show that if anyone wants to be the change they can do the change no matter who they are. The Documentary focused on our history of starting the charity and includes footage from over 25 military bases. We were not allowed to show all the footage from the bases for security reasons at the time, but we were proud to finally have our story reach a bigger market to show how music heals.

We continued filming to show directly how music was able to bring awareness and healing while supporting other military charities and veterans that needed support, including filming for other Veteran Charities as to us digital content was needed by so many and we knew we could help bring inspiring stories and missions to life.

The documentary and our digital content opened the doors for us to film and support other Veteran Based non drug related solutions in the documentary format to reach the world. We completed 6 documentaries showing healing in our work in, Light Up To Live, Operation Torrent, Unstoppable Now (Female Veteran Focused), Marine Kirstie Ennis Mountain Climbing.

(Won LoneStar Emmy, Best Military Documentary 2019)

In 2019 we changed gears and focused on our new Songwriting Healing Program, Highway Home, giving Veterans an opportunity to take our Songwriting Healing Camp using Music and Songwriting as a non drug solution. We partnered with BattleDawgs, 501c3 in Alaska to bring the first Healing Camps to life and have completed 3 more camps since helping over 20 Veterans through the program.

Now in 2022, we are currently raising donations to complete a full season of our Program, Highway Home, to complete our goal of bringing one of our healing programs to the world through a Network Series. It would benefit directly 16 Veterans directly as well as the opportunity to reach a world of viewers.

We will be looking to bring in National Artists to use as influencers to reach and inspire a larger audience to continue our work to show the healing power of music and not using drugs to heal our veterans suffering with PTS/TBI. By bringing what is inside of our veterans, outside in the means of art they have the ability to heal themselves and those that listen to their music and connect them to realize they are not alone. We are all in this together.

Our goal is simple, support and heal Veterans suffering from TBI/PTS through non drug related solutions through the power of music, songwriting and inspiring documentaries and with your support we can continue to heal our veterans and share and educate the world through their true stories. Digital Content is a language the world understands and it’s through that language and music that we can find healing.

I guess you can say our mission will never stop, as they fought for us and now it’s our time to rock for them.
